The Kinderstars have had an exciting few weeks!  Ms. Pavlicek, from the Burlington Science Center, came to visit with a tarantula, snake, and an owl.  Each child was allowed to hold the snake, and see the tarantula, and owl up close!

The class as a whole earned another ten stars and had a Disney Day class reward.  The Dress-up Holiday soiree will be tomorrow, October 31, 2018.

The Kinderstars have been moving right through the alphabet.  These are the letters we have worked on the past couple of weeks:
A, D, E, G, H, I

We continue to work on rhyming words, both during read-aloud, and also in the poems we have read.

Math

The Kinderstars have continued to work on 2D shapes including a circle, square, triangle, rectangle, octagon, and hexagon.  The past few weeks we continue to learn, and correctly form the numbers 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.  The students have been doing many class activities involving patterning, including on our calendar each day, and several worksheets.

Social Skills

We have discussed and read The Group Plan.  The following Life Skills have been taught:

Life Skills 3
"When I give you a two-step direction, you do it right away."

Life Skills 4
"When something is too hard, find a teacher and say 'Help me please'."
